Over the next few months, First Communications will be conducting technical tests of the BPL equipment. Two locations were selected for the test. The first test will be conducted in Brimfield, OH where we will be testing the product in a rural residential neighborhood. The second test will be in Chicago, IL where we will be testing the product in a single multi-tenant unit.

Our long-term goal for FirstSpeed BPL is to expand its utility to include a wide range of broadband communications services. First Communications wants to be much more than an Internet Service Provider; it looks to become a fully integrated data and voice communications company.

FirstSpeed BPL will be the medium from which First Communications is able to separate itself from the crowded industry. In addition to its Internet application, FirstSpeed BPL is able to support broadband voice communications and eventually streaming video.
